God loved us before we loved Him. He chose us before we chose Him. He is the Pursuer and we are the pursued. Before we ever thought about Him, He thought about us. He created us with intention and purpose.
His love goes before us and is constantly running after us. He is relentless in His pursuit of our hearts.
His love is accessible.
"I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:38-39
A lie that many people believe is that they are not worthy to receive God's love because of things they've experienced and walked through or things they've done. The truth is that there is absolutely nothing that can separate us from His love.
If He loved us before we loved Him, then that shows us that His love is unconditional. We don't access it through good works or perfection. No, it's a gift that He gives us freely simply because He created us.
