Due to the covid 19 restriction, travel bans and financial cuts, Global Mercy Missions have had a difficult time staying afloat, financially and with the lack of missionary and volunteer support.
Our team, since 2019 has done an amazing job at running the base and ministry in some of its most taxing and difficult situation we have had to face.
They have had their live threatened, not been able to feed and care for everyone and many more challenges.
So we have made a choice to close the ministry and find alternative solutions for the base, school and people that we serve.
Burning Bush Ministries, a local church in East London South Africa, has taken over the base at Stoney Drift. They are running the school with A.C.E curriculum and professional teachers and excellence. We will be supporting them in the transition, helping to hand over all responsibilities, donations and financial donations.
Please continue to support the progress that in happening in the lives of the children and community
located on the rubbish dumpsite.
We want to honor and say
to everyone that has come to help us build the lives of the people we have had the privilege serving for all these years.
God bless you all.
About Global Mercy Missions
We are a ministry & NPO who run a missions base located on a garbage dump site that is home to a community of 280+ people, in East London, South Africa. From the missions base our team is able to reach out to the local people, as well as serve the wider city of East London through worship, evangelism and healing the sick. Our mission is to see all the people and communities we serve transformed, revealing the love of God as we bring healing and restoration to all we encounter.
